| By practicing intercropping this year, Vaghabhai has fetched lots of profit. The practice of mono cropping of only cotton crop had resulted a decline in its yield. The salinity issue of the water further reduced the yield thus reducing his yearly income quite significantly. He purchased Sujlam – 99 variety of seeds from TKF resource center which is especially having salinity resistance property. The health of castor crop was witnessed to be excellent with intercropping of cotton. He fetched 50% more profits as compared to previous years due to better yields and return from Castor crop. |
